Corporate Director of Sales, Trailborn

Position Summary

The Corporate Director of Sales reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer of Trailborn. The Corporate Director of Sales is responsible for prospecting and closing group business across all Trailborn assets. The Corporate Director of Sales will sit in the NYC HQ office and be responsible for creating the annual sales plan in conjunction with the entire commercial engine for each Trailborn Asset.

    • Accountable for achieving Portfolio Wide Annual Sales Targets

    • Mentor and Develop Regional Sales Agents for both East and West Region

    • Work with hotel operating teams and corporate peers to translate strategy into specific sales plans, budgets, and annual performance goals for hotels

    • Ensure the sales vertical is properly engaged in weekly RevMAX calls

    • Create strategies to increase group sales market shares in all Trailborn Markets

    • Expand the Trailborn Hotels book of business for potential SMERF or Corporate Partnerships

    • Spreading passion throughout the Trailborn organization on the customer experience and brand vision

    • Visits each Trailborn asset at least once per quarter and meets with local partners and regional team members

    • Monitor Financial Performance of sales revenue and expenses versus budget and P&L

    • Oversight of Transitions and Opening of New Hotels to ensure that Trailborn Hotels open with as much group business OTBs to expediate ramp period.

    • Lead Weekly Sales Calls for each Trailborn Property in the portfolio

    • Maintain current knowledge of key hotel and tourism trends, sales, indicators, supply and demand dynamics

    • Participate as a key stakeholder in the annual budget building process

    • Provide leadership and mentorship consistent with Trailborn core values and generate excitement around developing other leaders.

    • Intimately understand demand generators and local Trailborn market current events

    • Self-starter who has worked in both branded and non-branded hotels and resorts throughout their career

    • Experience as a General Manager is Preferred

    • Experience with Resort Hotels is Preferred

    • At least 7+ Years in Hotel Sales at a senior level

    • Analytical and Personable by nature

    • Has a passion to teach and share sales expertise with others.

    • Open to travel to maintain a pulse on hotel operations and financial outcomes
